Pre-Application Consultation
Persimmon Homes West Wales is preparing a planning application for the development of 12 new dwellings at Land at Pentremeurig Farm, Carmarthen West.
Before submitting the application to Carmarthenshire County Council, we are undertaking a statutory Pre-Application Consultation and inviting comments from local residents, stakeholders and interested parties.
The site forms part of the wider Carmarthen West strategic development area on the western edge of Carmarthen. It is located off the Carmarthen West Link Road (Ffordd Pendre).
Outline planning permission has previously been granted across the wider landholding for residential development, of which this proposal forms a subsequent phase.
The Proposal
The proposed development forms a phase of the wider development. It comprises:
12 new dwellings
On-plot parking and private gardens
Landscaping, sustainable drainage and biodiversity enhancements
Pedestrian connections to the Link Road and wider network
The proposals have been prepared in the context of the previously approved outline planning permission and adopted Local Development Plan.

The consultation period will run for 28 days from Tuesday 3 March.

All comments should be received by the end of the consultation period.
Comments received will be summarised and submitted to Carmarthenshire County Council as part of the Pre-Application Consultation Report.
Next Steps
After the consultation closes:
- All comments will be reviewed
- Amendments to the planning application may be made, where appropriate, or responses provided within the PAC Report
- A full planning application will then be submitted to Carmarthenshire County Council
